Conference on Ukraine anti-corruption reforms in the business environment and defense sectors

16 May 2024 - 09:00-13:00

Paris

European Circles and CCI France Ukraine invite you to the jointly organized conference on the Ukrainian efforts to fight corruption in the civil and defense sectors

For many years, corruption was one of the main factors which hindered Ukrainian integration into the European business environment. Despite the efforts made by the Ukrainian

government, Ukraine is still perceived as a corrupt country by Western nations. This conference aims to raise awareness about the specific anti-corruption steps and measures that Ukraine has already undertaken to increase transparency in the civil, business, and defense realms. The conference will be conducted in the form of “hard talk”, featuring two separate panels.

Since 2014, Ukraine has created new institutions, implemented improved legislation and undertook many reforms in different spheres of life to ensure transparency. Although we can already see the results of these actions, many changes still have to be made to bring Ukraine closer to European anti-corruption standards. The first panel will focus on anti-corruption measures for improvement of the business environment in Ukrain and ease of doing business, and their results. The second - on the anti-corruption reform in Ukraine’s defense sector, MoD and UkrOboronProm.
